Fall is my favorite time of year for a wedding. The light is beautiful, the leaves are changing, and the weather is perfect. The most wonderful thing about this wedding was celebrating the union of a perfect match, Andrew and Hanne. The two decided on the Ecotrust Building for their wedding as a way of having their wedding fit their love of the planet. The Ecotrust building is a LEED Certified building in NW Portland. They exclusively work with other vendors who create or provide earth-friendly options for clients like Hanne & Andrew’s caterer Simpatica. The fabulous flowers were provided by a local favorite Sammy’s Flowers. Hanne’s chic wedding dress was found at a downtown dress shop The English Department – I just can’t get enough of Elizabeth Dye’s designs. green.salon made Hanne’s curls look so lovely. Andrew had a suit taylor made for the event at one of my favorite places in Portland, Duchess Clothier, and it looked so snazzy! Andrew and Hanne are big time beer fans and they toasted their guest with a delicious selection from theUpright Brewing Company. Ooh and I musn’t forget the delectable cake and cupcakes from Petunias. Everything about this wedding was fresh, local and fantastic! They planned it out so well.
Now the two love birds are off to enjoy some fun in Hawaii!
