Portraits in the Park was a big draw for our longtime friends and clients, giving them the opportunity to have a few new photos taken of their little ones while helping put books into the hands of kids who might otherwise not have such a luxury. The whole event was marvelous, and it was fantastic meeting a handful of great new clients as well. We all spread out at Laurelhurst Park and had a fantastic time with our little subjects. Together, we raised more than 100 books for the Childrens Book Bank, a marvelous success for a marvelous organization that benefits the kids in our community exponentially.
Here are just a few of my favorite photos from my 15 minute portrait sessions with these adorable munchkins!
This special event was created by photographer Linnea Osterberg to benefit the Childrens Book Bank. Along with five other fantastic photographers, we shot mini portrait sessions of exclusively kids at Laurelhurst Park, and the price of each session was a donated childrens book for the benefit of kids who can’t afford books so they’ll be able to have new books for the school year. Instilling a love of books and reading into our young ones is so important to all of us photographers, so we were thrilled donate our time to the cause.
