Romeo is an adorable kid whom we met through our volunteer work with the Oregon Heart Gallery and the Boys & Girls Aid association, which is a group that helps foster children find their forever homes. Romeo was so much fun to photograph; he’s got such an energetic, free spirit, and we’re hoping so much that our photos of him will help him find his perfect match with the forever home that’s just right for this wonderful little guy. We shot adorable Romeo at his SE Portland foster home, making sure he was optimally comfortable in his own element. We can’t wait to see this little guy grow and what great things he has in store for the future.

This lovely fellow Garth called me up and was longing for some current portraits of he and (the love of his life) Jerry. These two have been together for over 50 years and still light up every time they get close to each other. It was adorable to see. We had a breathtakingly beautiful spring day for our portrait session too. The love shared by these two really warmed my heart.

I just love collaborating with families again and again to capture their memories! The last time I saw this fabulous trio the little one was just a few days old. She is full of energy and personality now and so fun to work with. Quite the photogenic little munchkin. With this studio session we played around with a combination of natural and professional lighting to mix it up and create a variety of looks from one simple session.

It’s always so exciting when a friend has a baby! Especially when it’s one of the cutest babies in the world. My pals Marisa & Taiga had this little adorable pumpkin a few months ago and I was so happy that I got to have a portrait session with him before their big move to California. Baby Portraits are fun at any age, but this age just so happens to be my favorite. The window when they are able to pull themselves up and before they can run away from you! And this kids is full of perfectly charming expressions. Gush!

We love this time of year for many reasons, chief among them being that it’s prime time for snapping senior portraits for this year’s crop of soon-to-be graduates. This lovely high school senior is Gracie, who attends Central Catholic High School. We photographed her mom’s wedding last summer on the Oregon Coast, and were thrilled to hear from Gracie about her senior pics! We met downtown at our studio, then moved outside to the Pearl, where Gracie took center stage at Tanner Springs Park. We can’t wait to see what this beautiful teen has in store as she blossoms into the adult she’ll become. Thanks again to Gracie (and her mom!) for being such easy, fun-loving clients!

Our buddy Kim wanted some updated portraits for her website and some photos of her and her adorable pups! We did it all in this “mixing business with pleasure” portrait session in our downtown studio. I love photographing people and their pets! Pets bring out such a warm, fuzzy side in us.

Baby & Family Portraits – Portland, OR

We just can’t get enough of this bouncing baby girl! Little Baby B is the too-cute-for-words offspring of parents Jennifer & Andrew, whose wedding we photographed a couple of years back. We could hardly contain ourselves at the though of how cute their baby would be when they announced they were expecting, and it goes without saying that this precious pumpkin surpassed even the cutest of expectations. Those cheeks! That smile! Those baby blues!! Ahhhh…cute overload!!!

This time, Baby B was the star of a just-the-girls mini-session with mama Jennifer and Auntie Meredith at our downtown studio. The afternoon light was just perfectly timed for these three to shine! Meredith’s partner Sam has been away for a while and wanted to see all the girls together, so we’re so happy to have been a part of spreading that family love. We’re sure Sam was all grins upon seeing these fantastic photos, especially with the irresistible Baby B doing her thing front and center. Thanks again to Jennifer & Andrew for giving us so many opportunities to swoon over their adorable little girl!

Family Maternity Portraits – SW Portland, OR

One of the families we photograph regularly is the Coleman clan, a terrific trio if there ever was one. We had so much fun with them last fall at our annual pumpkin patch romp at Kruger’s Farm & Market on Sauvie Island (nobody loves tractors as much as this little guy!), so you can imagine how exciting it was recently when the announcement came of a new little girl on the way!

The Colemans wanted some updated family portraits as well as a maternity session showing mom, dad, and soon-to-be big brother together and anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new baby girl! This time, we had the family join us at the downtown studio for some casual posed shots, a nice change of pace from last fall when we frolicked candidly in the mud at Kruger’s Farm. The session was relaxed and laid-back, an added benefit of having photographed the family before so we’ve already gotten the get-to-know-each-other phase out of the way. That much can’t be said about the little one on the way, but we just can’t wait to get to know her, too!

Plus, since the Colemans are in our Friends for Life program, they can take extra advantage of their photography budget & put more of that money toward the pictures they want to share with family & friends and display in their own home.
