Mothers Day Tea at Ainsworth House – Oregon City, OR

Posted by Rosemary on May 10th, 2010

Ainsworth-House-Portland What a gorgeous gift the weather gave us for Mothers Day yesterday! We were lucky enough to spend sunny Sunday at the historic Ainsworth House and Gardens in Oregon City, where Earlene Grey, the Empress of Leaves herself, hosted the Inaugural Mothers Day Tea event. Earlene charmed a lovely group of fancily dressed mothers & daughters (even a few gracious husbands!) during the proper English tea with her unique and humorous poetry reading. Guests dined on a delicious teatime lunch whipped up on-site by fabulous Chef Sarah of The Red Hare , and the event even included an appearance by Senator Martha Schrader, who shared her own recent special tea time experience with First Lady Michelle Obama! We also especially enjoyed spending the day with the small group of fellow vendors with whom we set up a little foyer boutique outside the main tea party, including the delightful Marilyn Miller, owner of Marmalady’s – Tea Products to make the heart sing. The Ainsworth House and Gardens was the perfect host for such a decadent occasion, so it comes as no surprise that the enchanted venue is a favorite for local weddings. Last but certainly NOT least, we must give special thanks to our florist & studio neighbor Fieldwork, whose owner Megan Arambul put together the dazzling Mothers Day arrangement that graced our Mon Amour Photography table at the event. For the full Mothers Day Tea spread, head over to the gallery. (more…)

Feature Article in ID Magazine with Owner of Muse Art+Design

Posted by Rosemary on April 28th, 2010

muse-art-store-owner The May issue of ID Magazine isn’t on stands until May 5, but we’ve got your first glimpse at next month’s feature article on Muse Art+Design. We had the great pleasure of photographing owner Peter Rossing on his colorful turf at the Muse store, located at 4224 SE Hawthorne Blvd. in Portland. Though Muse has only been in business for a relatively short time, Peter has quickly established himself as a prominent figure in both the business and arts communities thanks to the full range of quality art supplies at Muse Art+Design, along with affordable prices, and friendly, knowledgeable service. muse-art-store Can’t wait to see the whole story in the June issue of ID! Beautiful Baby Photography – Portland Oregon

Posted by Rosemary on November 30th, 2009

Aw, this little guy is such a cutie! I’m documenting the first year of his adorable little life in 5 portrait sessions. He had a great time rolling around in the leaves at the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden and his mom, dad, and I had fun watching him giggle in the grass. So cute!

Fall is the perfect time of year to get your family portraits taken since photos make such great gifts!

Portraits at your new home! Portland Photography

Posted by Rosemary on November 9th, 2009

The feeling of buying your home is so amazing. Having a portrait taken on your new front porch is a great way to commemorate this time in your life. A “new home” portrait session makes a great gift too! David, Inga, and Mr. Jenkins the cat, were enjoying the first pumpkin carving party at their new house when we took some time out for a photo session. Congratulations and good luck on your adventures in home ownership!New-Home-Portraits

Spruce Salon: NW Portland Oregon

Posted by Rosemary on November 9th, 2009

I absolutely adore Michael and Michelle at Spruce Salon.  They are not only wonderful at what they do, but so fun to hang out with in their super cozy, eco-elegant salon.  I am so excited that they will be joining us as presenters at the Eco-Elegant Wedding show this November 21st. at the Center for Architecture in the Pearl District.  I had a fun date at Spruce Salon a week ago to meet about the show and to have a hair do run through.  Here are my favorite bridal portraits of the day.
