Event Photography – The Q Center Gala

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on February 4th, 2011

The Q Center builds public awareness and support, and celebrates LGBTQ diversity through art, culture, and collaborative community programming. I was thrilled to shoot their big Gala this year at the Nines Hotel in downtown Portland. Special thanks to Samantha Swaim for putting together such a lovely event! And to Foris Winery for keeping everyone refreshed throughout the night.

Oh Baby – Stuff that we love!

Recently I was asked to shoot an awesome event at the Oh Baby shop in NW Portland (a favorite of shop mine). It was a lovely party featuring Oh Baby, Souchi, and Zelda’s Shoe Bar gifts for the holidays. Hot lingerie, sexy sweaters, and fabulous shoes are all on my list for Santa in case you wanted to know. P.S. The perfect gift for your favorite gal this holiday season might just be a few fabulous items from Oh Baby and a gift certificate for a Pin Up Portrait session with yours truly, just sayin’ – a lovely gift for both of you really.

Event Photography – Pivot Launch Party – Portland OR

Posted by Rosemary on June 21st, 2010

There could have been no better way to kick off the start of this year’s Portland Pride weekend than the official launch party of Pivot (formerly the Men’s Wellness Center of Cascade AIDS Project), a space in downtown Portland for men who are into men. With help from RAIN Agency, the new branding of Pivot highlights the focus of the space as central to a shift in thinking about sexual health; a place central to community, both physically and metaphorically; and a space that serves to bring about change. We had SUCH a blast with the help of our friend Kyle Carnes, taking pictures of Pivot and the party’s many attendees, and we’ll be donating 50% of proceeds from any print orders to benefit CAP and Pivot! Please check out the Pivot party gallery and browse through the fun for yourself! Event Photography IMG_1006 (more…)

Last weekend was the fabulous prom for LEP High school!
We had a great time photographing the kids while they goofed off for the cameras. We took some “serious” photos too, but these are our favorites. To see all of the “photobooth” style photos from the night check out the gallery. There will be more to see soon.

Mothers Day Tea at Ainsworth House – Oregon City, OR

Posted by Rosemary on May 10th, 2010

Ainsworth-House-Portland What a gorgeous gift the weather gave us for Mothers Day yesterday! We were lucky enough to spend sunny Sunday at the historic Ainsworth House and Gardens in Oregon City, where Earlene Grey, the Empress of Leaves herself, hosted the Inaugural Mothers Day Tea event. Earlene charmed a lovely group of fancily dressed mothers & daughters (even a few gracious husbands!) during the proper English tea with her unique and humorous poetry reading. Guests dined on a delicious teatime lunch whipped up on-site by fabulous Chef Sarah of The Red Hare , and the event even included an appearance by Senator Martha Schrader, who shared her own recent special tea time experience with First Lady Michelle Obama! We also especially enjoyed spending the day with the small group of fellow vendors with whom we set up a little foyer boutique outside the main tea party, including the delightful Marilyn Miller, owner of Marmalady’s – Tea Products to make the heart sing. The Ainsworth House and Gardens was the perfect host for such a decadent occasion, so it comes as no surprise that the enchanted venue is a favorite for local weddings. Last but certainly NOT least, we must give special thanks to our florist & studio neighbor Fieldwork, whose owner Megan Arambul put together the dazzling Mothers Day arrangement that graced our Mon Amour Photography table at the event. For the full Mothers Day Tea spread, head over to the gallery. (more…)
