Home Life Family Portraits – SW Portland

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on October 29th, 2015

Ah, I just love this little threesome. Such a sweet family and so fun to capture portraits of! Not to mention the fact that every time I visit them they give me marvelous treats from their garden. These dad’s are hoping to expand their family so they asked me to document the family cuteness for another year and help them create an adoption site profile image of their family that truly expresses who they are.

We met at their home for relaxed in-home portraits; then moved outside some lovely shots with and around a favorite mural near their home. Finally, we enjoyed some time in their gorgeous backyard, where H & their cute pup enjoyed a little wild frolicking, flower picking and chicken egg hunting. These activities were not only a joy to photograph but perfectly fit the personality of this handsome crew!

Good luck in the new year fellas, see you soon.

I met this lovely young woman from St. Mary’s class of 2016 at Reed College’s lush campus for our portrait session on a gorgeous last summer evening.

We had a great time chatting about what the future holds and captured some fabulous images.

Good luck Lily and have a wonderful last year of high school!

Family Portraits at home – NE Portland

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on October 2nd, 2015

Hello All!

Let me stop for a second to tell you that I am seriously the luckiest photographer in the world. My clients are so fabulous to work with. Especially when it comes to Jessamyn, Dan & kids (furry and human).

I met up with them on a beautiful summer evening at their new home in NE Portland; the light and weather couldn’t have been more perfect for our session. But it was the warm smiles and inviting nature of the family that made this shoot such a treat.

The family consists of Mama – Jessamyn (my friend and talented massage therapist), Papa Dan, Gio (who just finished his first year of college), their darling baby girl “F”, Gladys the pup and a gaggle of cats, chickens and bees!  I think it’s safe to say that this is a family of animal lovers.

As you can see from the photos, this family is not only photogenic, but also a close-knit group who clearly love spending time together and it is a joy to witness.
