Family Portraits – Portland, OR area

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on March 13th, 2015

Let me stop for a second to tell you that I am seriously the luckiest photographer in the world. My clients are so magnificent to work with. That’s true of my session with the fabulous Driscoll family, too!

I met up with them in the fall at Sauvie Island’s Kruger’s Farm and the weather was perfect for photo-taking. Beautiful, a little sunny, just a bit of autumnal crispness! While the weather was lovely, it was Tam, Geoff & Devan who made this shoot such a treat.

These three are a close-knit trio who clearly love spending time together. They are so lucky to have each other, and I was lucky enough to capture their family portraits!

Beautiful Family Portraits – Laurelhurst Park, NE Portland

Oh how I just adore this family. I’m lucky enough to say I’ve been photographing the Scantlebury family for 7 years now! I truly can’t believe how much the children have grown and changed since I first met them. Well, when I first met Brett & Cara the kids weren’t even here yet. Here’s a favorite from my session with L when he was just a few days old. What a cutie!
It goes without saying, Brett & Cara have become my friends over the time we’ve worked together, they are hilarious and almost as loveable as their wee ones.

When Cara asked me to take their photos again, I immediately began counting down the days to our session.

And as for the day of the shoot, I had a blast. They had a pretty great time, too.
Check out my favorites from my session with the wonderful Scantlebury family!

Casual Family Portraits – NE Portland

I recently had a fantastic family portrait session with the Simpkins family. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception. Sunny is a pal through my favorite workout spot, Portland Adventure Boot Camp for women.

We met at their home. I love capturing family portraits at home because it helps to create a casual and personal vibe for the session right off the bat.

For our shoot, Sunny & Chad wanted to make sure we got lots of photos of the sweetest little toddler in the world and their adorable pup. Put everyone together on a gorgeous Portland afternoon in a beautiful home and we really made some awesome photos.
