High School Senior Portraits – Portland

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on October 25th, 2012

I absolutely love working with high school seniors to create senior portraits that are truly meaningful to them. People at this age are so bold and fun, ready to take on anything you throw their way. Spencer from Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego is no exception. After taking a few minutes to warm up to me and my fabulous assistant Gabe, Spencer sprung into action and charmed the heck out of us. We ran around the SE Portland Industrial neighborhood near my office and took advantage of the beautiful light and rustic scenery. Together we created some fantastic images that captured Spencer’s spirit perfectly.

Wedding Photography – Ecotrust Building

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on October 24th, 2012

We were so lucky to be a part of the celebration at the recent wedding of Stephanie and Adam, a super fun, lovely couple who got hitched at the Ecotrust Building. These two were so laid back and easygoing – their relaxed, lighthearted approach to life extended to their ceremony, which had an atmosphere of total festivity. Many weddings are threatened by the stress of the day, but for Stephanie and Adam, things couldn’t have been easier on the Big Day. Stephanie is the event coordinator at Royal Oaks Country Club (which may help explain why all the coordination for the wedding seemed so effortless!), and Adam is the former chef at Genoa; he’s currently working on opening his own restaurant in the near future — can’t wait to see what’s cookin’! It’s no surprise that these two foodies had a serious spread of delectable treats (catered by Simpatica) at the reception, which immediately followed the beautiful rooftop ceremony. Fieldwork made sure every floral arrangement was perfectly placed, from the rooftop to table tops and even doggie corsages! Boy & Bean performed while the elated newlyweds danced and laughed for hours with their intimate gathering of close friends and family, none of whom could have been more thrilled for Stephanie & Adam and their future together. Thanks so much to Stephanie & Adam for letting us capture these moments from their wedding and so many more…it was really a day to remember.

Wedding Photography – World Forestry Center – Oregon

I really do feel blessed to have the best job on earth with clients who I ADORE!

Top o’ the list – Katy and Sarah. They are so gracious and easy to work with, fun, enthusiastic, I could go on and on. Really, truly, they are awesome. And you know all of these wonderful things if you attended their wedding this summer at the World Forestry Center in Portland, Oregon.

It was a gorgeous late summer day, the ladies were surrounded by loving family and friends. The flowers from FieldworkSilk Cocoon were similar but different and were perfectly matched. The brides asked their friends and family to create patches that were sewn together to create a wonderfully personalized huppa. The officiant was an old friend who crafted a unique ceremony just right for Sarah and Katy. Yes, it was very special.

All of these fabulous details and beautiful people made my job of photographing this wedding a real pleasure! Enjoy the photos.

Senior Graduate Portraits – Downtown Portland, OR

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on October 8th, 2012

One of our standout senior grad portrait sessions this summer was for twin brothers Alec and Ryan, a pair of talented high school seniors from the Vancouver area. Both brothers are prolific musicians, with Alec on viola and Ryan playing the cello. Of course we were thrilled that their instruments were part of the shoot, and the guys also brought along a handful of outfit changes that expressed their personalities.
