Family portraits sessions are always unique, different from every other in a special and fun way. This is especially true with new clients, whose family’s own unique dynamic I’m often unfamiliar with until the portrait session itself. One such new family was particularly wonderful getting to know through the lens of my camera: Lisa & Michael and their two girls, who met me at Tanner Springs Park recently to have some new family portraits taken. With the weather all warm and sunny outside, love is in the air! This was especially true a few weeks back at Mt. Hood Bed and Breakfast, where I met with lovely couple Ursulla and Tim for an engagement portrait session. I suggested the location because the couple got engaged at Timberline Lodge, so Mt. Hood B & B’s magnificent view of Portland’s premier peak was the perfect backdrop. (more…)

We just love making new friends, especially when new friends are as fantastic as Pam Rechel. She’s the whiz behind BraveHeart Consulting, the service Pam and her company provide to local businesses to help solve their toughest problems. I’ve never encountered a company quite like BraveHeart Consulting, and there’s definitely only one Pam Rechel, so she’s doubling up on one-of-a-kind greatness! That uniqueness shined through recently when Pam and I met up for a portrait session, where we took indoor and outdoor shots alike to maximize her options. Our outdoor session was at the gorgeous Couch Park, a perfect backdrop for this gorgeous gal to show her true colors. I met Pam through Boot Camp and hope to know her for many years to come!

I’ve been accused of exaggeration before but… in my mind, there is nothing cuter than Jenny and her three rambunctious boys. We met up at the Tanner Springs Park in the Pearl District for their family portrait session. At first, the boys were like little wild ponies, hahaha. But, they ran out their crazies and giggled out their giggles and in the end we got some beautiful, summer time portraits of the boys and their mom. I can’t wait to see them all again!
