We love helping shed some spotlight on great local bands as they emerge onto the Portland scene, and the Barn Door Slammers is one such musical outfit that deserves particular illumination. That’s why I was so excited to be asked to photograph the group recently at the Secret Society, a great spot to see local bands. The shoot was lots of fun, and the Barn Door Slammers played a mini-set for me that was AWESOME. (more…)
It’s that time of year again, folks! No, I’m not talking about spring (although — thank god! — it IS that time of year, too!), or even about wedding season (but that’s just around the corner, too!)…it’s time for our soon-to-be-graduates to get their senior pictures taken! Here at Rosemary Ragusa Photography, we really love this time of year because it means we get the opportunity to meet a bunch of new fun teens who are just bursting with youthful energy and ready to move out of the nest and into adulthood. We recently shot our first senior portrait session of 2012, and who could ask for a more handsome first subject than Austin, a senior at Central Catholic High School. (more…)
We recently had the pleasure of working with Lake Oswego interior designer Jenny Baines, a lovely woman with a keen eye for modern design and practical talent to spare. Jenny came to us in need of a flashy new headshot for her newly launched Web site, which showcases many of Jenny’s best and most beautiful jobs. We were thrilled to help a fellow Portland-area small business owner take her work to the next level, as it is so important to show the world (not to mention potential clients) your best self. I recently had the pleasure of working with Austin and Ryan. I had a fabulous time capturing the portraits of this gorgeous couple in one of my favorite locations for any occasion, Washington Park. There are so many lovely little spots in the park to snuggle up with a loved one for photos!
