A tea party is such a perfect way to celebrate your pending nuptials with your girlfriends, especially when enjoyed in your most delightful vintage dresses and hats. That’s just what Jenny and friends planned for Janet the weekend before her wedding. And I got to photograph the good times. I have a great job. I love it when some of my favorite little people join me again for a portrait session. Kids change so much in a year! Which is why we recommend getting your kid portraits on a regular basis.
Mom really wanted to capture the unique nature of each child so we booked two sessions, one for each boy. The portrait of J in the tree is one of my all-time favorite photos, it reminds me of what it was like to be a kid in a tree!
And oh my goodness, look at those big blue eyes on Baby N.

I recently had the pleasure of getting together at the Landmark Saloon for a portrait session with a new band in Portland – The Sagebrush Sisters. The infinitely talented Allison Handler, Mary Rondthaler and Kevin Healy (Sagebrush Brother? hee hee) perform cowgirl classics, duets of the Delmore Brothers, Irving Berlin, Bob Wills and more.
You will find these three performing on stages across Portland, they are a must see this fall. One performance you should be sure to attend is the Jennifer Roos benefit concert on November 12th at none other than the Rosemary Ragusa Photography studio in SE Portland! We just love meeting and photographing new families! One such family is this adorable trio, with dads Michael & Ben and their daughter little Miss S. showing each other about as much love as one family can. I met these three in North Portland at beautiful Peninsula Park to shoot some family portraits…we couldn’t have asked for a more photogenic family! We have our beloved friend Michael LaClair to thank for introducing us, as he and Michael have worked at Cascade AIDS Project together for several years. Look at this beautiful child! My favorite subjects to photograph are kids! They are so fun, full of life, and pretty great to look at. I’ve known this little one and his delightful parents since before he was on this earth. It’s so fun to watch him grow up and become a cool little person.
