Event Photography – Portland, OR

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on September 30th, 2011

Gaylabration was conceived as a way to celebrate love and community , as well as to raise funds for a cause close to our hearts – the legalization of Gay marriage. Joining me in sponsoring this event was Basic Rights Oregon, Cupcake Jones, The New Deal Distillery, (One of my favorite places in the world) Por Que No?, Paul Mitchell, Mississippi Pizza, Fabulous PDX, and a number of other wonderful vendors around town.

Entertainment was provided by an assortment of fantastic local performers and DJ Grind from San Francisco.

We had such a wonderful time photographing this event and celebrating with Corey and Matt!

Cheers to Love!

Family Portraits – Gearhart, OR

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on September 26th, 2011

I love photographing families on the coast! Grant, Jacob, the boys and their pup met me last month on the coast for their first family portrait session as a new family. We had a great time playing seaside and creating images that will be cherished for a lifetime! Special thank you to my friend Jim Wilburn of Orlando Construction for sending this beautiful family my way.

The Merry Kitchen photo essay – Local fun for kids

Posted by Rosemary Ragusa on September 19th, 2011

My friend Julie Merry runs these really fun cooking classes for kids called the Merry Kitchen. I was blown away by how engaged the kids were the in process of cooking a meal. They started in the garden, selecting fresh herbs and veggies, then had a “how to use your knife” lesson, then they were off and running – preparing a delicious meal for everyone to enjoy! Julie has a really nice way of getting kids to try new things. The kids were entertained and productive and I had a great time documenting their merriment.

Check out all of the photos from the day in the gallery.
