One of my favorite weddings this year was between Megan (of Fieldwork Floral fame) and Corey, two adorable pals o’ mine. I was happy to see that Oregon Bride Magazine loved their wedding too. My favorite photo from the day and their sweet story was featured in the latest issue. The issue is full of great ideas for your pending nuptials too. Check it out!
Have you ever had this happen…? You have a great time out with some of your very best friends. You may take a few photos here and there. But in the end, there are never any great photos of you and your friends together. Someone is left behind the camera. This was true for my dear friend and coach Nancy Grant, so when her group of beloved girlfriends were coming together for a visit in Portland Nancy called me for a portrait party. Nancy, Connie, Margie, Michelle and I all got together at my downtown studio. At the studio I got some fun group and individual shots of the gals. Then we ventured off to the Rhododendron Garden for the beautiful outdoor portraits. The end result is a fabulous collection of images of these four friends enjoying a day together!
Great news everyone! A business portrait doesn’t have to be dry and boring, even if you’re in the studio with a plain background. It’s all about making a connection with your audience in a business portrait. I love the shots I got of Led Rhodes of VP of the International Institute for Analytics, his sparkling personality really shows up! I also used some dynamic studio lighting to spruce the image up a bit and give it some depth.
I absolutely love every member of the Rodriguez family! So it was such a thrill to photograph Megan and Michael’s wedding this weekend in Florence! While working on getting all the images ready for viewing I came across this portrait that I simply love. I hope you enjoy it too. Stay tuned for more images from Megan and Michael’s beautiful day.
