We appreciate our family portrait clients so much, especially when they are as wonderful and loving as the Caughman clan! We know the Caughmans through fantastic mom Annette, who works for Lensbaby and has become a friend to us over the last few years. Annette’s husband John is a math professor at PSU, which helped make it an easy decision when deciding where to shoot the Caughman family in their latest portrait session. Joining mom and dad were their three strapping sons, Johnny, Philip and Alexander. We were so excited to see the amazing tuba master Johnny again (we shot his senior portraits last year…and you may remember him from the Lensbaby promo video we did last December), as he’ll be off to college soon (they just grow up so fast! *tears*)…at least he’s got two younger brothers to keep the nest from being emptied just yet. We’re so lucky to be able to work with such an awesome and wonderful family as the Caughmans, and we can’t wait to watch their three boys become successful young men! We’re so excited for Barbara & Matt’s upcoming wedding, which is set for September in beautiful Cannon Beach. It’s such a glorious time of year on the Oregon coast, with late summer sunlight perfect for the couple’s plans to have a relaxed, charming ceremony. The pair met in a quintessentially Portland way: playing kickball of course! They are such an adorable couple; I just can’t wait to photograph the big day. Meanwhile, we took Barbara & Matt on a stroll through Kelly Point Park in North Portland to shoot their engagement session, something we like to do with all our wedding clients. It helps us get to know each other and gives me a sense of who the couple is and how they express their love for each other. Can’t wait to see Barbara & Matt in Cannon Beach a few months from now!
