Gorgeous Fall Wedding at the Ecotrust Building – NW Portland

Posted by Rosemary on October 28th, 2010

Fall is my favorite time of year for a wedding. The light is beautiful, the leaves are changing, and the weather is perfect. The most wonderful thing about this wedding was celebrating the union of a perfect match, Andrew and Hanne. The two decided on the Ecotrust Building for their wedding as a way of having their wedding fit their love of the planet. The Ecotrust building is a LEED Certified building in NW Portland. They exclusively work with other vendors who create or provide earth-friendly options for clients like Hanne & Andrew’s caterer Simpatica. The fabulous flowers were provided by a local favorite Sammy’s Flowers. Hanne’s chic wedding dress was found at a downtown dress shop The English Department – I just can’t get enough of Elizabeth Dye’s designs. green.salon made Hanne’s curls look so lovely. Andrew had a suit taylor made for the event at one of my favorite places in Portland, Duchess Clothier, and it looked so snazzy! Andrew and Hanne are big time beer fans and they toasted their guest with a delicious selection from theUpright Brewing Company. Ooh and I musn’t forget the delectable cake and cupcakes from Petunias. Everything about this wedding was fresh, local and fantastic! They planned it out so well.

Now the two love birds are off to enjoy some fun in Hawaii!

Congratulations Andrew and Hanne. To see all of the image from the day view the gallery.

We have spent so many glorious afternoons this month shooting portrait sessions out on Sauvie Island at Kruger’s Farm, and the one we spent photographing the precocious Marshall kids was certainly no exception. The kids had no shortage of energy, keeping us on our toes even as we snapped a flurry of great shots from the pumpkin patch to the corn field and out to the big sprawl of grass and flowers. Thanks again to Kruger’s for the many great days on their expansive farm, and to the every delightful Marshall family! Check out the rest in the gallery!

high-school-portraits senior-portrait portrait-photography senior-photos We were lucky enough to spend another glorious afternoon at Kruger’s Farm on Sauvie Island recently, this time with the gorgeous high school senior Ana. We took maximum advantage of the beautiful fall weather and incredible landscapes at Kruger’s Farm before heading into the city for some final portraits at Tanner Springs Park in the Pearl. Ana was such a wonderful subject, which made her senior portraits that much easier to shoot. Thanks again to Ana and best of everything in the future, from next year at college and beyond! Pumpkin Patch Mini-Session – Sauvie Island, OR

Posted by Rosemary on October 19th, 2010

pumpkin-patch-portraitfamily-portraitThis month has been so gorgeous in the Portland area, and we’d be lying if we said we weren’t feeling extra festive this October. We really kicked the month off right a few weekends back on Sauvie Island with our Pumpkin Patch Mini Sessions at Kruger’s Farm. The gracious folks at Kruger’s were kind enough to let us photograph in and around their pumpkin patch, so they deserve a special shout out (Thanks, Kruger’s Farm!!). One of our most cherished clients, the Coates-Scantlebury family, brought precious little L down to Sauvie Island to be the star of a pumpkin patch photo shoot, and boy did he deliver! The pictures speak for themselves – just look at this little guy livin’ it up among the pumpkins! Too cute for words, really. Check out more in the gallery!

Basic Rights Oregon 2010 Dinner – Portland, OR

Posted by Rosemary on October 13th, 2010

Earlier this month, we were pleased to attend the 2010 Basic Rights Oregon Dinner. This year’s theme was “Glee,” so we were treated to a number of clever song-and-dance numbers as the evening’s entertainment. As usual, this year’s BRO dinner was a fundraiser for Basic Rights Oregon and its many civil rights causes in our great state.
