We LOVE our neighbor Megan with Fieldwork: A Floral Operation. She’s spunky and cute, and it’s her birthday! In honor of this special event I thought I’d share some recent photos I took in her shop. She’s so talented. I especially love the wedding terrariums she puts together, they’re a gorgeous way of creating an earth friendly look at your wedding, plus you and your guests get to have a beautiful terrarium to take home after the wedding. Heather and I had such a great time photographing David Golden & Sara Loboy’s wedding last night! Their wedding took place at the beautiful and unique St. Agatha’s Church in Sellwood, with a reception at the lovely Arista Ballroom on Hawthorne Blvd. Why was it to fun you ask? Well here’s the list:
1. First and foremost Sara and David we’re having a wonderful time celebrating their new union (bonus – they looked great doing it!).
2. They were also surrounded by a fabulous crowd of friends and family.
3. It was a particularly temperate evening in Portland, Oregon with a gorgeous sunset.
4. Heather and I love working together.
5. At the end of the night Heather and I got to take these fun Original Photobooth photos!
The list goes on and on.

I simply love the idea of having a photobooth at a wedding reception. I will be the first to say that they shouldn’t “replace” a photographer at your reception, but they are the perfect complement to each other. This photobooth company in particular has a great product and is run by a super friendly lady – Christy Vance and friends.

A wonderful friend to Rosemary Ragusa Photography, the invaluable local lawyer Beate Weiss-Krull, recently came in to the studio to have business portraits taken for her website. We had a great time with her, and her selection is just beautiful. It’s always important to keep business portraits and website headshots up to date, so we’re thrilled to help Beate boost her professional profile and keep her face fresh in people’s minds as a go-to legal eagle.

We made fast friends with the Ferraro family, new clients of ours who recently came into the studio for a portrait session. Their two little boys are just so cute, and the family exudes happiness all the way around, which of course makes for a very easy shoot. The boys enjoyed hamming it up in the studio, then mom & dad joined the party for a little fun before we took advantage of the beautiful Portland summer and headed outdoors.
