Our beautiful and wonderful intern Annika is all grown up! Well, almost…she graduated from high school, anyway, and will be off to college in the fall! Of course we were thrilled to take Annika’s senior pictures, as she’s a perfect model and was so much fun to have around this spring in the studio. Thanks for being such a great intern, Annika! We just couldn’t be happier for our friend Jennifer and her handsome new husband Andrew, who were just married in Peninsula Park last month. The ceremony was so lovely, with Portland’s moody spring weather cooperating perfectly for the afternoon wedding. The couple was surrounded by an intimate gathering of family and close friends, and the warm, loving atmosphere was perfect for capturing the countless gorgeous moments between husband & wife and the people they love. We wish Jennifer & Andrew the very best in their life together; they certainly deserve it! We had a lot of fun hanging with the band on this one! For the artwork to be featured for their upcoming album “Seventh Day,” the Portland folk group Richard McKenzie Band needed some photos to include in liner notes & promo materials…lucky us! Annika & I spent a lovely evening with the talented quartet, shooting in and around the studio to keep things down to earth and capture the band’s essence. We’re so excited for Rasha and Vanna’s wedding this summer. I first met Rasha when she modeled for an id magazine cover shot, we had such a great time in that session. We simply had to work together again. I met up with Rasha and Vanna on one of our particularly perplexing spring afternoons at the Kennedy School in NE Portland. We somehow timed it just right so that we were only minimally rained on. The Kennedy school was such a great place for an engagement portrait session, at times it looks like a lush tropical garden, other times, a really cool old building. And we got to hang out and chat over a beer afterwards! An ideal Saturday afternoon.
