We’re still saving up for the mon Amour castle, but when we’re finally ready, Nancy Kinzer will be the first person we call!! Nancy is a mortgage adviser & residential loan officer for Northwest Mortgage Group, Inc. in Beaverton, and a wonderful friend of mine. We recently shot Nancy’s new headshot in a business portrait session, and needless to say, we had a blast with our hilarious and outgoing pal. Penninsula Park was the perfect location for Rushie & Sarah’s engagement session, and we couldn’t have had more fun photographing the couple (and their dog Ginsu, too!) Rushie is a vintage shopping guru & Sarah is a therapist. They’re tying the knot this August, and we can’t wait to capture the big day. They’re such a fantastic pair, so we’re thrilled to be chronicling the celebration Rushie & Sarah’s commitment to each other! There’s plenty more to see in the gallery! (more…)
What a gorgeous gift the weather gave us for Mothers Day yesterday! We were lucky enough to spend sunny Sunday at the historic Ainsworth House and Gardens in Oregon City, where Earlene Grey, the Empress of Leaves herself, hosted the Inaugural Mothers Day Tea event. Earlene charmed a lovely group of fancily dressed mothers & daughters (even a few gracious husbands!) during the proper English tea with her unique and humorous poetry reading. Guests dined on a delicious teatime lunch whipped up on-site by fabulous Chef Sarah of The Red Hare , and the event even included an appearance by Senator Martha Schrader, who shared her own recent special tea time experience with First Lady Michelle Obama! We also especially enjoyed spending the day with the small group of fellow vendors with whom we set up a little foyer boutique outside the main tea party, including the delightful Marilyn Miller, owner of Marmalady’s – Tea Products to make the heart sing. The Ainsworth House and Gardens was the perfect host for such a decadent occasion, so it comes as no surprise that the enchanted venue is a favorite for local weddings. Last but certainly NOT least, we must give special thanks to our florist & studio neighbor Fieldwork, whose owner Megan Arambul put together the dazzling Mothers Day arrangement that graced our Mon Amour Photography table at the event. We just love our own pets beyond words, and considering how much we love capturing images of our clients & the loves of their lives, it comes as no surprise that we just LOVE photographing their precious pets too! These fantastic felines are particularly perfect models, strutting a catwalk of the literal kind one minute, caught on candid camera the next. Cris Pera, whose Artisan Custom Framing & Gallery in Lake Oswego continues to be an invaluable resource for so many of our favorite photos, is the proud pet owner. We’ve had the great pleasure of photographing the Chalmers family during Baby B’s adorable first year, and suffice to say, we are the lucky ones! Proud parents Kale & Jennifer said hello to little Baby B and his big blue eyes just over a year ago, and time has just flown by. During our most recent session with the Chalmers trio, we got to celebrate little B’s first birthday! Check out the happy family in the gallery!
