Engagement Portraits in downtown Portland

Posted by Rosemary on September 23rd, 2009

This weekend we photographed Brian and Kate’s engagement portraits in downtown Portland, Oregon! There are so many wonderful places to have portraits taken in Portland, it’s a land of many great backdrops for gorgeous photos. We’re looking forward to photographing Kate and Brian’s wedding this November at Hotel Vintage Plaza.

See the rest of their portraits in the gallery.

16 Year Old Birthday Portraits :: Portland, OR

Posted by Rosemary on September 13th, 2009

We had a great time running all over Portland getting great shots of this lovely lady. Similar to a session that we would have with a high school senior for their senior portraits, but is portrait session was simply to celebrate the fabulous age of 16! Happy Birthday!

Portland Maternity & Family Session

Recently we visited this lovely family at their home for some child portraits of J, who is just about to turn 2. We also got some great maternity portraits of mom with a cute little bump, that will soon be a cute little brother or sister for J.  For our photo shoot J got to perform one of his favorite activities… tomato plucking!  He enjoys it so much that he can stop at the red ones, he wants to pick them all.  It was a gorgeous summer evening and we had fun chasing J around.

I love my job! This summer I had the pleasure of planning and photographing Rich and Kevin’s lovely wedding at Timberline Lodge. It was classic and elegant, just like they are. They poured their hearts into every detail, making it a very special day. The live music by Matthew Kern and the Rose City Hot Club gave the day extra celebratory flair. Rich and Kevin made their own “eco-fabulous” wedding favors of a tree sapling ready to be planted, what better way for friend and family to remember this beautiful day. The weather couldn’t have been more clear and temperate. It was the perfect summer day in Oregon.

On July 11th we got to be a part of Michelle and Patrick’s gorgeous wedding at The Grotto the Northeast Portland. Michelle and her bridesmaids all wore vintage dresses which were unique and lovely. The ladies found their dresses at Ray’s Ragtime a fabulous vintage shop in town (just in case you feel like shopping!). Michelle’s dress was from a thrift store… Very Eco-Vintage. Every detail of the wedding was thoughtfully considered and personal.

The reception took place at the Courtyard Marriott North Harbor overlooking the Columbia River. A really beautiful spot, the light was absolutely perfect! Jim Brown and his orchestra provided awesome jazzy tunes. Michelle and Patrick were glowing with happiness on their big day!
